Subject: Physio Hello

I’m writing from Sydney where I’m based.

I sustained an L5/S1 injury whilst attending to an aggressive patient in October 2010. Since then my back had not been able to go back to its normal function. I tried everything under the sun, physio, chiro, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, and even counselling but all of them only offered me temporary pain relief. I had to rely heavily on morphine and Valium for long-acting relief. Because of the injury, I developed depression to the point of almost being suicidal. Last year, I was allowed to visit my family back in the Philippines and Singapore for a month provided that I will continue my treatment.

I was recommended by my family doctor there in Singapore to see Joan of Steps & Providence. It was her that introduced that no-gravity treadmill treatment to me. In just one treatment, I could already see and feel some changes. When I flew in to Singapore I was wheel-chaired by airline staff as I could not bear even a 30-minunte walk. I had to also use a walking frame as I had unstable gait.

After the 1st treatment, my brother-in-law who was the one taking me around noticed a slight change in how I walked. After 3 weeks of treatment, I felt lighter and I could bear weight on my right leg better! I could also walk longer. By the end of my treatment, I was able to tolerate a day visit to Universal Studios which I never thought I could.

Yes, the treatment was a bit expensive but well worth it! I would even want to come back to see Joan for another treatment after my surgery this June!

I believe it has helped because I have proven it myself!
